Trademark Notice (Markenhinweis)

NetzSec and ZeroTrace are independent. Third-party product names, brands, and marks that our tools detect or name are the property of their respective owners and are used nominatively (§23 MarkenG, Art. 14 EUTMR) with no affiliation, endorsement, or certification implied.

This policy is issued by NetzSec and applies across everything we operate, including the ZeroTraceproduct line (zerotrace.one and its subdomains). Where it says “NetzSec” or “we,” that covers ZeroTrace too.

Independence and No Affiliation

NetzSec and its ZeroTrace product line are independent security-research and anti-tracking tools. They are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, certified by, or otherwise connected to any of the third-party companies, products, or services they can detect, identify, name, or interoperate with.

Every third-party name on this site, in our apps, in our firmware, or in our documentation appears because our tools detect or describe that product — never to suggest a commercial relationship with its maker.

All Marks Belong to Their Owners

All product names, company names, logos, brands, and other trademarks or service marks referenced by NetzSec or ZeroTrace — including but not limited to Apple, AirTag, AirPods, Find My, iOS, iPhone, iPad, macOS, Apple Watch; Samsung, Galaxy, SmartTag; Google, Android, Pixel, Find My Device / Find Hub, Fast Pair; Tile; Chipolo; Pebblebee; Flipper Zero; Meta, Ray-Ban, Oculus, Quest; Ninebot, Segway; and all vendor names shown from the IEEE OUI registry — are the property of their respective owners (Eigentum der jeweiligen Rechteinhaber).

No third-party logos are shipped in our products; where a brand is named, it is named in text only.

Why These Names Appear (Nominative Use)

These names and marks are used solely in a nominative, descriptive sense — nominative Markennutzung within the meaning of §23 MarkenG and the referential use permitted by Art. 14 of the EU Trade Mark Regulation (EU) 2017/1001 — to identify the third-party device, protocol, data format, or manufacturer that our tools detect, classify, or are compatible with.

Their use does not imply any endorsement, partnership, certification, or affiliation. References to third-party products, including any emulation or compatibility features, are provided for lawful, authorised security-testing, research, and personal-safety purposes only, consistent with the Acceptable Use provisions of our Terms.

No Endorsement or Comparative Claim

Where our materials describe how a NetzSec or ZeroTrace tool interacts with, detects, or differs from a third-party product, those statements are intended as factual, descriptive information about detection and interoperability — not as comparative advertising, a claim of superiority, or an assertion that a named product is defective.

Any factual comparison is meant to be accurate and verifiable at the time it is made (§6 UWG). If you believe a statement about your product is inaccurate or out of date, please tell us (see Rights Holders) and we will review and correct it without undue delay.

Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi®

The Bluetooth® word mark and logos are registered trademarks owned by Bluetooth SIG, Inc.; any use is nominative or under licence. Wi-Fi® is a registered trademark of Wi-Fi Alliance®.

NetzSec and ZeroTrace do not claim Bluetooth or Wi-Fi certification. Both marks are used here only as adjectives to describe the relevant wireless technology.

Rights Holders

If you are a rights holder and believe a reference is inaccurate or improperly used, contact us at contact@netzsec.com and we will review it without undue delay.
